We invite you to a city known for its fierce authenticity, independence and resilience. Selected as the first chapter outside of Commissioner's founding in Miami, we fell hard for Detroit after a year of visiting, meeting with folks and working within their lively art community.

Join us in Detroit from September 23—25 to celebrate the opening of Miami-based multidisciplinary artist Stephen Arboite at N'Namdi Contemporary and for a weekend of studio visits, collector home tours, and inspired conversations.

Your contribution of $260 will go toward group transportation, Saturday night dinner and additional shared costs. It will also help support the locals who are opening up their spaces and homes for us, and our Commissioner Detroit initiative.

You are of course free to opt-out of any tours or visits, and vibe at your own pace. As a first Commissioner trip, most valuable to us will be your feedback, insights, and ideas for including art travel as an official part of our program.
