Welcome Superblue to Miami

Commissioner is excited to partner with Friends of New World Symphony and The Fountainhead Residency to welcome Superblue, an all-new experiential art space, to Miami. In the past year, arts institutions, presenting organizations and art membership programs big and small have been called on to adapt and reimagine community-building in Miami during times of crisis. In conversation, leaders in the field will explore the pivotal role of technology and immersive experiences for delighting new audiences, and innovative opportunities for building a more arts-invested and arts-resilient city. President of Friends of NWS Jennifer Weinberg will moderate the discussion with Raina Mehler, Director of Media Arts at Superblue; Shantelle Rodriguez, Director of Experiential Art Centers at Superblue; Dejha Carrington, Co-Founder of Commissioner; Maureen O’Brien, Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement; and Kathryn Mikesell, Co-Founder of The Fountainhead Residency & Studios.

“Miami's art scene is thriving and this panel represents just a few of the dynamic organizations based here,” said Jennifer Weinberg, President of Friends of NWS. “With the addition of Superblue as a world-class experimental arts center open to the public, we are once again proving that Miami is ready for artists, innovation and experimentation.”

Es Devlin and James Turrell are some of the inaguaral artists set to show at Superblue Miami.
