Second Annual Getty at The Carter Project

Before 75,000+ visitors descended on Art Basel Miami Beach, before traffic quadrupled six ways from Sunday, we gathered at the inspired home of Tracey and Christopher Carter for a pre-Basel kickoff.

Bringing together members, artists, arts workers, and the folks who pour into Miami year-round, we launched Commissioner’s annual Miami Art Week guide with collaborators Heike Dempster and Dainy Tapia. Artist Christopher Carter and curator Catherine Camargo offered a tour of his Edge Zones exhibition Tethered Visions, Released Codes, in a new iteration at home. Cornelius Tulloch, global artist director of Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE), previewed the nonprofit’s art week program for guests. Together, we grounded The Carter Project space as a place where art, community, and collaboration take shape.

Thankful to Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fever Tree and Icelandic Water for generously supporting this initiative.
