Announcing Partnership with South Florida PBS

Three years ago we set out to build a new model for arts patronage that removed perceived barriers to collecting art, and directly connected locals to artists in their city through accessible programming.

You, our members and friends, have supported our belief that the stories we tell and the communities we lift play an essential role in cultivating a new generation of art collectors—collectors who want meaningful relationships, alignment, representation and transparency. It's why we're so very excited to announce a new partnership with South Florida PBS to broadcast Commissioner collector and artist stories starting January 2021:

Commissioner creates bridges to the experiences and perspective shifts that artists bring to our lives, taking the time to meet with each other around ideas and artwork that has meaning, joy, and importance beyond aesthetics or commercial value,” said Dejha Carrington, co-founder of Commissioner. "We hope this new partnership with PBS will inspire viewers to see themselves as the collaborators and patrons of our local arts ecosystem, and that they are moved to meet artists, collect artwork and participate in our creative community.”

“Our goal is to connect South Florida performance artists, musicians, authors, dreamers and visionaries with local programming that celebrates the creativity and diversity of our community,” stated Dolores Sukhdeo, CEO of South Florida PBS. “We hope this new season of Art Loft will inform and inspire viewers, with profiles of artistic works that portray our history, as well as those that offer a glimpse into the future.”

South Florida PBS (WPBT & WXEL) will premiere the highly anticipated ninth season of South Florida’s favorite and only locally produced art program, Art Loft on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 7:30 PM on WPBT and Thursday, January 21 at 5:30 PM on WXEL. New episodes will premiere weekly on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM on WPBT and Thursdays at 5:30 PM on WXEL.
