The Narrative at Core with Cornelius Tulloch

“With this commission, I really want people to understand the process of my practice and narrative at core. I'm excited to see how [Commissioner can] transform the landscape of how collectors relate to their artists and really engage in dialogue… It's about educating the public on the process of artists, and allowing artists to see their own potential.”

Season Seven commissioned artist Cornelius Tulloch can’t be boxed in. An interdisciplinary artist, architect, and creative director based in Miami, he has presented with institutions such as the CUE Art Foundation in New York, Locust Projects in Miami, and the MAXXI in Rome, to name a few. His work is part of the Studio Museum in Harlem’s permanent collection, and he has won numerous prizes and residencies, including Artist Laureate for the Bakehouse x Cité Internationale des Arts residency in Paris, France.

In addition to his work as a practicing artist, Cornelius is the Artistic Director of AIRIE (Artist in Residence in the Everglades), and has led projects for Personal Structures in Venice, Italy, and the Smithsonian Design Triennial at Cooper Hewitt in New York.
