7:30 PM Prompt
Screening & Introduction by Laura Raiffe of Art Market Liaison
Exploring the labyrinth of the contemporary art world, The Price of Everything examines the role of art and artistic passion in today’s money-driven, consumer-based society. Featuring collectors, dealers, auctioneers and a rich range of artists, from current market darlings Jeff Koons, Gerhard Richter and Njideka Akunyili Crosby to one-time art star Larry Poons, the film exposes deep contradictions as it holds a mirror up to contemporary values and times, coaxing out the dynamics at play in pricing the priceless.
Introducing the film is Laura Raiffe, founder and CEO of Art Market Liaison in Miami. Laura’s experience working with the world’s leading auction houses and Miami’s top contemporary art galleries brings an informed perspective to collecting and selling art.
The Price of Everything premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was produced by Jennifer Blei Stockman and Debi Wisch for Hot & Sunny Productions and Carla Solomon for Anthos Media. Lisa Remington and Kayla Malahiazar acted as co-producers. The film is edited by Sabine Krayenbühl, with additional editing by Phillip Schopper and Brad Fuller.
