Commissioner and the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) team up to present a special edition of MOCA Makers Workshops featuring Nice'N Easy, a collaborative endeavor by artists Allison Matherly and New World School of the Arts alumnus Jeffrey Noble.
Nice’N Easy is focused on creating immersive mixed media installations, developing a visually cohesive subtropical vernacular with their material choices and use of repeated motifs. Often referencing themes of self-help, recovery and interpersonal dependency, their fabricated environments utilize romantic tropes to enhance the collective emotive truisms between participants and create a platform for intimate exchange. In summer 2020 during the pandemic, Nice’N Easy and Commissioner partnered to present a limited run of postcards for its members, bringing loved ones together during times apart.
Benefits:
Members receive complimentary access to the workshop first come, first served.
Members receive complimentary art packs and supplies to participate in the workshop.
Through your membership, and in partnership with New World School of the Arts, you help support the MOCA Makers program and this artist initiative with Nice’N Easy.
This event is open to Patrons and Collectors. 20 spots, first come first served. RSVP essential at bit.ly/mocaworkshop.
MOCA Makers are a series of adult art workshops that puts forward an artistically interested public to work with and learn from local artists in South Florida. Topics such as figure drawing, printmaking and portrait painting are hosted for all levels of participants.
Thanks to the support of Mitchell Wolfson Sr Foundation, we partner with New World School of the Arts to connect Commissioner’s aspiring art collector base with the next generation of emerging and accomplished visual artists and photographers.
