Join us for a nature walk, artist talk and artwork reveal with celebrated multidisciplinary artist Morel Doucet. Titled "Night Garden: In Moonlight The Stars Chatter", Morel's work for Commissioner is inspired by a poem he wrote during quarantine about looking at life from the beginning to end, and the things he hopes to experience and achieve. For Morel, the garden is a metaphor for the passing of time as well as a site of leisure, congregation and deep reflection. He says, "I really want this series to express ideas of rebirth, of death, sorrow, redemption, of all these things that can be associated with the garden."
Choose the morning or afternoon time slot that matches your membership level. Although the event is outdoors, we’ve created two groups to help manage capacity as thoughtfully as possible, and may also add a virtual option for those unable to attend.
