Mark Fleuridor, Jen Clay and Roscoè B. Thické III each explore concepts that are deeply personal and related to their respective lived experiences and identities. Using collage, textile and photography, see how themes around mental health, family and the home are processed and come to life in the intimacy of their studios at Oolite Arts. RSVP at hello@commissioner.us.
After the event, head to Faena Hotel for Patria y Vida by Antonia Wright and Ruben Millares—a large-scale light sculpture that celebrates people’s right to peacefully protest by using the barricade as a symbol of global resistance.
Inside the Artist Studio is a precursor to Sunshine—a solo exhibition, private tour and talk with Mark Fleuridor and curators Derrick Adams and Luisa Munera, taking place on Wednesday, November 30 from 9—11 AM, during Miami Art Week. RSVP at hdempster@youngarts.org.
